A Pearlware Durham Ox Blue & White Meat Plate - circa 1820

This is the classic blue and white pattern.

The Durham Ox is with his proud owner John Day.

The Durham Ox became famous in the early 19th century
and was a Shorthorn breed of cattle.

This celebrated Bull was exhibited around England
and was transported by a special carriage drawn by 4 horses.

This wonderful platter is rare
and has always been highly desireable.

It is in very good condition
with no restoration.

Length 20 inches Height: 15 inches
