being part of the social history of England.
A Stirrup Cup is for a traditional English drink,
often Port, wine or sherry, at the meet of a Hunt.
They were often made of silver,
but our pottery cups were probably for the the more working class
followers of the Hunt.
Stirrup cups are not uncommon,
but this one is a beauty.
It really is wonderfully painted.
There is no damage and no restoration.
