A Staffordshire Squirrel Clock Group - circa 1850
An attractive group of three squirrels around a clock face.
One is seated on the top eating, the other two squirrels
seated below holding some food.
This charming and very rare figure is excellently modelled
and beautifully painted.
This is the only perfect example of this figure that I have seen.
It is in pristine condition with no restoration.
Height: 10.25 inches
Provenance: From The Reverend Harry Bloomfield Collection
This is the actual figure illustrated in the book
"Victorian Staffordshire Figures 1835 - 1875" book 2
