A Staffordshire Greyhound - circa 1845
A superb big Staffordshire Greyhound.
Nearly all the Staffordshire "Long Dogs" are indeed Greyhounds.
Often referred to as Whippets, no - the king of dogs in Victorian times
was the Greyhound. Coursing was hugely popular and the
Champion dogs were celebrities.
This is a rare model of a greyhound,
very good modelling and excellent quality.
It is in very good condition,
with no damage and
with no restoration.
