A Pair of Staffordshire Pottery Spaniels - circa 1850

A simply wonderful quality pair of Spaniels.
Look at those faces !

Queen Victoria's favourite dog was a King Charles Spaniel named "Dash"
and the Staffordshire potters started making Spaniels of all shapes and sizes to
decorate fireplaces throughout the Country.

Spaniels of this model are rare and always special,
they are an original, true and stunning pair.

These delightful spaniels are in good condition,
with a little flaking of the red enamels.

There is no restoration.

Height: 8 inches
