A Pair of Staffordshire Deer with Fawns - circa 1850


This is a lovely pair of Deer,
Attractive, rare and unusual.


Animals were a great favourite deer were very popular
and brought wildlife and the countryside into peoples homes.
Have a look at the picture below,
groups of Victorian Staffordshire figures look fantastic.


They are wonderfully modelled,
have brilliant enamel colouring
and a fine glaze.
This delightful pair are in very good condition,
with 3 minor chips to the antlers
and another to the base of the stag.


There is no restoration.
