A Staffordshire Figure of a Coursing Watch holder - circa 1850
A staffordshire figure that stores your pocket watch
and turns it into a clock.
An attractive group of two greyhounds around a watch holder.
On top a beautiful Hare in full flight,
in an unusually grey colour.
This is a fabulous example of one of my favourite figures.
Deeply, crisply modelled and one of the early figures from the mould.
very strong enamel colours and a lovely fine glaze.
Minor restoration to the nose of the right hand dog
and a flake to the cheek of the hare at the back of the figure.
Height: 8.25 inches
