The Redan
Part of the Sebastopol complex in the Crimea.


The Crimean War !854 to 1856
led to some of the greatest Staffordshire Figures,
it was THE news and demand from our patriotic public
was met by our Staffordshire potters.


The siege of Sebastopol lasted from October 1854
until its fall in Sepember !855.

It marked a turning point in the war.
a great victory but it cost many many British lives.

 
This figure is as good as you will ever see,
the precious flag is in perfect condition,
as is the whole figure.
This is the large version of this model.
The Redan is very rare.


It is in excellent condition.
There is no restoration.
