A Staffordshire Figure of Omar Pasha - circa 1854


The celebrated Turkish Colonel.


During the Crimean War
Omar Pasha was the Commander-in-Chief
of the Turkish Army.
The former Governor of Lebanon
had two great victories over the Russions.


A superb quality and attractive portrait figure.
This is a rare and slighltly different model.
Unusual colouring, beautiful enamels,
and a lovely title !
In wonderful and excellent condition.


With no damage
and no restoration.


Height: 12 inches


A figure of the SULTAN
with the same decoration was sold
at Christies Lot 89 on 28th March 2002
